He makes a jig out of wood for each size of cutting board so that he can route a groove.
A wood jig is made for each size board so it can be routed with a groove to catch liquid when you cut on the board.
Routing to smooth the edges.
One of the processes to finish the board.

Our cutting boards are made one at a time using leftover pieces of solid surface materials.

The Freight House Farmer's Market in Davenport, Iowa in the summer on Saturdays is fascinating and we love the people, food and location.  We are there in the summer only and would welcome a visit from you.  If you are coming just to see us, call or email us to be sure we aren't off that weekend to a wedding or other important event!
